These Cubes ats will study the chemical composition of Earth’s exosphere using time-of-flight mass spectrometry. To downlink the collected scientific data, the satellites will utilise a custom X-band transceiver operating in the amateur frequency range of 10.45 to 10.50 GHz, which is presented in this paper. The proposed transceiver architecture employs software-defined radio (SOR) technology and can be easily adapted for different use cases. This modular approach has the potential to be suitable for future spacecraft missions, such as active debris removal or lifetime extension services, where flexible communication systems are required.

Read the full paper here

ROBIN BONNY; MARTIN SIMIK; JULIETTE CHALLOT; HANNES BARTLE

DOI Number: 10.13009/EUCASS2023-020

[3766,993,3771
3824,3831,3832,3828,3803,3829,3830
post-25425","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-1-aerospace-europe-conference-2023","category-events","category-5-flight-dynamics-gnc-and-avionics","tag-cubesat","tag-frequency-agility","tag-new-space","tag-sdr","tag-student-team","tag-transceiver","tag-x-band","category-3766","category-993","category-3771","description-off
["GET
