DRACO consists of a fully representative satellite that will undergo a controlled destructive re-entry from Low Earth Orbit. The satellite hosts a dedicated instrument that will measure a variety of parameters on specific objects of interest within the host during the re-entry, in addition to recording visual and infrared imagery. The instrument also includes a capsule designed to survive the destructive re-entry and transmit the obtained data back to ground. The current paper provides a general status overview of the ongoing developments of the DRACO mission.

Read the full paper here

Jeroen VAN DEN EYNDE, Beatriz JILETE, Alex ROSENBAUM, Stijn LEMMENS

DOI Number: N/A

Conference number: HiSST-2024-267

[993,1410,1407
1805,679,1804,1806
post-17192","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-events","category-high-speed-missions-and-vehicles-11-hisst-2024","category-11-hisst-2024","tag-break-up","tag-capsule","tag-destructive-re-entry","tag-observation","category-993","category-1410","category-1407","description-off
["GET
