The vehicle design is presented, outlining simplifications made to retain key features of the vehicle while ensuring a manufacturable and meshable geometry. Computational studies will be performed at altitudes between 70 and 90 km, reflecting the phase directly after staging up to the limits of the continuum flow regime. The geometry and results will be made openly available to the research community to promote collaboration in understanding the design challenges associated with re-usable launchers.

Read the full paper here

Moritz ERTL, Tamas BYKERK

DOI Number: https://doi.org/10.82241/ceas-hisst-2024-186
Conference number: HiSST-2024-186

[993,1409,1407
442,1698,1697,1467,1465
post-17023","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-events","category-high-speed-aerodynamics-and-aerothermodynamics-11-hisst-2024","category-11-hisst-2024","tag-cfd","tag-open-source-geometry","tag-reusable-launchers","tag-rfz-model","tag-upper-stage","category-993","category-1409","category-1407","description-off
["GET
