The present work addresses the aerodynamics and aeroelasticity of birdlike bioinspired flapping wings in forward flight. The theoretical geometrical and kinematic bioinspired baseline flapping wing model was developed based on literature study and observation. The main interest is to compare the dynamics of rigid and flexible flapping wing in forward flight. Information on the kinematics and aerodynamics of rigid flapping wing is based on earlier studies by the author, and other investigators.
