Both intrusive and non-intrusive measuring techniques are employed for calibrating a newly designed hypersonic wind tunnel at MBDA-Subdray. Flow measurements are made in a 1.5 m diameter test section, at a single Mach number around 6. Calibration parameters include static and stagnation pressure, static and stagnation temperature, species concentrations, Mach number and flow angularity. Intrusive measurements involve Pitot-probes, cone-probes and stagnation temperature probes, gathered in a single cooled rake, specially designed for this tunnel. A Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS) setup, designed and fabricated at ONERA, is implemented in addition to the rake for non intrusive in situ measurements of water vapour concentration and temperature. The calibration tests are planned at the end of 2023. Calibration measurements will be compared with numerical simulation of the tunnel design.
